Love & Marriage 93 - Keep the romance going - Make a date - Week 3

in #christian-trail7 years ago

For the fun post of the week, we are still looking at dating, to keep your romance and passion going. You schedule important dates and meetings in your work life, so to schedule a time during the week for a special date with your spouse send the message that your marriage and your spouse is at least as important for you than the rest of your life.

Last week we see that dating can enrich your life. The second thing that dating does for you and your marriage, it creates positive memories.

Quality relationships are rich in positive memories. Since our world does a good job of dispensing negative experiences, it is up to us to do an even better job of providing positive recollections. I love to hear how other couples share stories of their early dating events. While such rememberings are fun to hear, imagine how much more enjoyable they were to experience. Every couple will have disappointing episodes and some regretful moments. But your goals should be to make sure that the positive memories outweigh the heartaches.

Let's look this week at a few exciting dates

  • Go to a theme park, feel like a child again and ride the roller coaster. At some of this roller coasters pictures are taken on the ride which you can buy afterwards to remember the moment!

If that seems a bit too "wild" for you then go on the Ferris wheel. Better even to do it at night and look at all the night lights.

  • Another theme park thing that is lots of fun is a water park. If you love water, then this will be a fun day for you! Take photos, collect those memories.

All of the above will create special memories with the love of your life. The main thing is to spend time together, have fun, enjoy life!!

Share with me in the comments if any of you did some of these activities above.

Which ones of the above did we do? We went to Ushaka Marine World in Durban South Africa and we enjoyed the waterpark and we saw a dolphin show.

@hope777 You shared such an incredible piece of advise. I guess everyone has to do something like this to spare a time when they can nourish their relationship with their spouse or with their boyfriend or girlfriend. It helps to rejuvenate the relationship.

Once I spent time with my close friend (I know it's not a relevant example here because that was just my friend not a lover) even though that day was reserved for an important task but after spending time with my friend I realized how important it is to give time to yourself and spend it with someone whom you like (again that just just my friend Bella whom I didn't meet for a long time).

I am happy by the end of this posts you also shared a real life example (you been to Ushaka Marine World) and by sharing that you set an example that whatever you say you practice that and this will leave a great impact on your followers / readers of this post and I'm sure they will take action to nourish their relationship. I'm sure you had a good time in Ushaka Marine World and enjoyed dolphin show as well. Your post is a great reminder what we are supposed to do to nourish our relationship to have a good love life.

Hi @sarahrowling, thank you for your in-depth reply. Yes, whenever we spend time with our loved ones it has a great impact on our relationship. Lots of the things I share on my love and marriage blog can apply to all relationships, with your children, friends, family. Thank you for the encouragement! Have a great week further!

You are absolutely right here! Dating creates its own line of history that can never be replaced in marital journey.

I and my wife still enjoy our date stories and memories after 4 years of our union.

That is wonderful @maxdevalue, while married you must still do "dates" to make a special time for each other. Blessings for the coming week!

My best friend Jeff and his wife Shelley do fun trips like that on a monthly basis. Good stuff Thanks @hope777

Thank you @enjoywithtroy!, I am so glad to hear that there are couples that do this.
Blessings for the coming week!

It is really important to keep the fire in a relationship. Good advice @hope777

Thank you for your kind words @kwakumax. Blessings for the coming week!

You are right, even at old age, we can still recreate those happy moments with our spouse or the whole family.
I guess I would start doing more of that.

Thank you for commenting, that is what I like to hear. Take pictures of your "dates" and post it in one of my Love and Marriage blogs to stand a chance to win 2SDB. Good luck!
