You have fallen from grace / Has caído de la gracia.

On many occasions we have heard say "Brother Joseph has sinned and fell from the grace of God," or "Peter fornicated with his girlfriend Joan, both fell from the holy grace of God."

Perhaps we have been protagonists of something similar and that is why "We have fallen from the grace of GOD".

"Falling from the grace of God" we associate only with obvious cases of sin only, while with this term we mean moving away from that abundant provision from God.

What does the bible say?

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

In V.1 Paul says: "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

Talk about this since among the brothers of Galatia the "Judaizers" had been introduced who imposed to keep the law to win something, forced to circumcise those who by FAITH had received Christ.

In V.4 we see clearly: "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."

When we speak "Falling from grace" we are talking about belittling grace, that gift of GOD that has been free. It is when we seek to add something else to the SUFFICIENT Grace of God.

It is when we want to justify ourselves by doing something in return.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2: 8

Just as Saul: The king usurped the place of the Priest, Then he did not obey the word and forgave the best of the sheep (Believing that it would be better and offering sacrifice to Jehovah) and finally, as the word has no longer been Enough checked with the fortune teller. Thus marked his ruin.

When we start to get out of the word (I'm not talking about committing sin and all that), and try to justify ourselves by the law, or even use "We must obey to receive blessing" we have to be attentive because this gives rise to following steps to get to act independent of the word of Grace.

That's when we fall from the Grace of God. Another example is that of Pedro:

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 2: 14-16

All this has a solution: "Back to the word" and the Holy Spirit convinces us and guides us in all light and truth of the word.

En muchas ocasiones hemos escuchado decir "El hermano José ha pecado y cayó de la gracia de Dios", o "Pedro fornicó con su novia Juana, ambos cayeron de la santa gracia de Dios".

Quizás hemos sido protagonistas de algo similar y por eso "Hemos caído de la gracia de DIOS".

"Caer de la gracia de Dios" asociamos solamente a los casos de pecado evidentes solamente, mientras que con este término nos referimos a alejarnos de esa provisión abundante de parte de Dios.

¿Que dice la biblia?

Estad, pues, firmes en la libertad con que Cristo nos hizo libres, y no estéis otra vez sujetos al yugo de esclavitud.
He aquí, yo Pablo os digo que si os circuncidáis, de nada os aprovechará Cristo.
Y otra vez testifico a todo hombre que se circuncida, que está obligado a guardar toda la ley.
De Cristo os desligasteis, los que por la ley os justificáis; de la gracia habéis caído.
Gálatas 5:1-4

En el V.1 Pablo dice: "Estad, pues, firmes en la libertad con que Cristo nos hizo libres, y no estéis otra vez sujetos al yugo de esclavitud."

Habla de esto ya que entre los hermanos de Galacia se habían introducido los "Judaizantes" aquellos que imponían guardar la ley para ganar algo, obligaban a circuncidarse a quienes por FE habían recibido a Cristo.

En V.4 vemos claramente: "De Cristo os desligasteis, los que por la ley os justificáis; de la gracia habéis caído."

Cuando hablamos "Caer de la gracia" estamos hablando de menospreciar la gracia, ese regalo de DIOS que ha sido gratuito. Es cuando Buscamos añadirle algo mas a la Gracia SUFICIENTE de Dios.

Es cuando queremos Justificarnos haciendo algo a cambio.

Porque por gracia sois salvos por medio de la fe; y esto no de vosotros, pues es don de Dios;
Efesios 2:8

Así como Saúl: El rey usurpó el lugar del Sacerdote, Luego no obedeció la palabra y perdonó lo mejor de las ovejas (Creyendo que eso sería mejor y ofrecer sacrificio a Jehová) y por último, como la palabra ya no ha sido suficiente consultó con la adivina. Así marcó su ruina.

Cuando comenzamos a salir de la palabra (No estoy hablando de cometer pecado y todo eso), e intentamos justificarnos por la ley, o incluso utilizamos "Hay que obedecer para recibir bendición" tenemos que estar atentos porque esto da pie a siguientes pasos hasta llegar a actuar independientes a la palabra de Gracia.

allí es cuando caemos de la Gracia de Dios. Otro ejemplo es el de Pedro:

Pero cuando vi que no andaban rectamente conforme a la verdad del evangelio, dije a Pedro delante de todos: Si tú, siendo judío, vives como los gentiles y no como judío, ¿por qué obligas a los gentiles a judaizar?
Nosotros, judíos de nacimiento, y no pecadores de entre los gentiles,
sabiendo que el hombre no es justificado por las obras de la ley, sino por la fe de Jesucristo, nosotros también hemos creído en Jesucristo, para ser justificados por la fe de Cristo y no por las obras de la ley, por cuanto por las obras de la ley nadie será justificado.

Galatas 2:14-16

Todo esto tiene solución: "Volver a la palabra" y el Espíritu Santo nos convence y nos guía en toda luz y verdad de la palabra.
