Shenzhen, China
I was so amazed when I unexpectedly discovered a hidden urban village just behind beautiful facade of skyscrapers in Shenzhen. It is called Gangxia Village. As I walked through the tightly filled streets it became obvious why it was referred to as a village within a city. The community is almost completely self-sufficient, within the neighbourhood there is everything from restaurants, supermarkets and shops. It is really a scaled down autonomous city.
