Computer-Generated Chess Problem 01820

in #chess6 years ago

A newly published and original KBBP vs kpp chess puzzle or problem (whichever you wish to call it) composed by the prototype computer program, Chesthetica, using the DSNS computational creativity approach which doesn't use any kind of traditional AI. Chesthetica has the creative ability to compose positions that may otherwise take centuries to arise in an actual game, if ever. Chesthetica is able to generate mates in 3, mates in 4, mates in 5, study-like constructs and also compose problems using specific combinations of pieces fed into it. White is significantly ahead in material. The default solving time of 30 seconds may be too short for you if the problem is difficult so feel free to hit the pause button and solve at your own pace. Do share and try out some of the others too. Solving chess puzzles like this can also help improve your game. By the way, if you're tired of international chess, maybe try Switch-Side Chain-Chess instead.
