Cheetah "LOOK MORE CLOSELY" - This is what I have learned.
While learning steemit as a newbie, I found out about the @cheetah bot that roams the posts looking for plagiarized content. I was happy to read about it and thought it could keep a lot of dishonest posts out of the feed. That was until I got one of my posts flagged. I reached out to a fellow steemian, also a newbie, and she said most thought it was bad to be on your posts. I left it alone at that point and thought nothing of it, until now.
I uploaded an original video on d.tube and was flagged, but upvoted, by @cheetah for finding similar content. @cheetah left a link to the original content in the comments. A follower, @strypes, immediately posted a comment explaining that it was my original content and that she loved it.
After feeling a bit discouraged, the @originalworks bot left a comment that it was my original works and upvoted 1.5%. While not all @cheetah visits are followed by the @originalworks bot, this clearly shows that if a post is visited by the @cheetah bot, it deserves a closer look. Not to mention, each visit I received, I was upvoted if it were my material.

@imaginationicon. I think @originalworks and @cheetah are great for the reasons you gave. You are a very talented person. In addition to your documentary work/Adventures, I love your photography and photoshop masterpieces. Keep posting your awesome content, I enjoy it very much. Upvoted and resteemed.

I do not understand why cheetah is upvoting duplicated contents. I haven't seen him/her on my posts but I was visited by steemitcleaners once because of referral links. I saw other's posts with referral links so I thought it was ok hmmm they are NOT newbie but "Steemit celebrities". I wondered why steemitcleaners did not leave a comment to them, maybe steemitcleaners visits only if someone report a post.
Thanks for the heads up. I am still wondering about a lot of the so-called rules. At this rate, the site is almost a full time job at less than slave wages, hehe. I imagine that over time things will change and we will be rewarded for hanging in there, until then, we will just have to maintain our credibility and build relationships. Happy Holidays!

Cheetah occasionally makes a mistake. Usually it IS when you have posted something you posted elsewhere.
Getting a cheetah bot comment is no big deal as long as an upvote is included. If you get flagged and you are innocent....you need to immediately go to steemcleaners.org and file an appeal.
