STEEMIT-HELPING-HANDS FREE MEDICAL DAY OUTLINED ACTIVITIES AND SUGGESTED PROJECTS FOR THE SLUM AREA OF AGBOYI KETU COMMUNITY LAGOS

Steemit-helping-hands planned on carrying out a free medical day in the slum area of agboyi ketu Community , several drugs and materials needed which were suggested by medical experts has been listed and your donations alone will make this initiative a great success..


we are making this post thanks to the great suggestion of @starkerz on our post comment to give out an outline of the necessary procedures that would be carried out on the free medical day in agboyi ketu.

The listed activities to be carried out are:

• Transportation, feeding and payments of medical personnels and equipments used will be carried out by @steemhelpinghand
• setting up sound system and other equipments at the location provided by the leaders who also agreed to assist in sending out information and gathering the communities together at the event location.
• A brief seminar will be organised on health, environmental sanitation and water purification which will be made by health specialists
• Free consulting and counselling services with medical experts on health and safety issues
• Each attendant will fill out a medical form and a registration form to allow orderliness and avoid double appearance.
• A tagged number of identification will be given to each registered member to avoid confusion or medical tests
• Free different medical tests will be carried out by medical professionals, the children first before the adults
• Drugs will be administered only to the patients who has carried out medical tests and is been diagnosed with any particular trace of sickness or aliments.
• The drugs administered or written on the medical sheet will be prescribed by a medical specialist and each drugs prescribed will specifically be for the different traces of sickness or aliment detected by the medical attendants and equipments during the test
• Each attendant given the free administered drugs will have his/her left thumb nail painted with a permanent marker and tagged number collected to ensure they don't appear twice
• Those who has no traces of sickness or appear clean will be given vitamins or supplements if administered by the medical specialists
• The Hiv medical specialist will attend privately to any individual who wants to get tested and its results will be given privately without the knowledge of any third party to avoid discrimination.
• Medical consultants will privately meetup with any diagnosed HIV patients for counselling any supplementary drugs will be administered if necessary. Their details will be taken to a general hospital for further treatments.
• The free mosquito nets will be distributed to different families accordingly, each family will be represented by one person or head (adults only) ..
• The free mosquito nets distribution will begin from the aged/old and young widows, then followed by other families and individuals(adults)
• Every materials used will be in a waste bag and carried along with the team to be disposed properly outside the community or vicinity.
• Any activities not listed will appear on video or pictures during the feedback

The suggested projects:
During the survey we noticed the community lacks good water source and lives in a contaminated dirty environment..
According to the nice suggestions from @fishyculture on our post comments, we also see the need to help the people of agboyi community with a good water supply..

This would bring great happiness to the community and promote good healthy living to the community.
Also the project would have the name steemit as the benefactor which would be an awareness creation and addition to the steemit community..

@steemhelpinghand also suggested to carry out a cleanup environmental sanitation for the community.. Where we would partner with Greenland recyclers , LAWMA (Lagos state waste management Authority) and other NGO/environmental cleaning groups in the society to make the sanitation/cleanup successful.. This will promote a healthy environment for the community and also serve as medium of creating awareness for steemit and Steemit-helping-hands.

Finally after much research we came into conclusion that these listed huge projects requires huge funds and it cannot be carried out alone by @steemhelpinghand but with the help of the steemit community we can attain great heights and achievements.
