Spirit of Giving
Here @mother2chicks we are strong proponents of donating to some really great charities operated by fellow steemians.
Occasionally we like to resteem posts from worthy charities or to the people that are involved with them. Giving to a cause can be risky, you’re never really sure how much of your donations actually reach the people that need it the most.
There is not alot of money in my wallet nor do I make a bundle on most of my posts. Giving just feels right to me. It’s been about 9 months since this blog was founded. In that time much more has been revealed to me than I ever thought possible.
We were so lucky to be here in the beginning of this new evolution of blockchain technology. Just look at how many people we can talk to in a single day. It is incredible that we can funnel our energies into helping each other every single day right from our computers or smart phones. Someone you don’t know on the other side of the planet may get to eat a meal today because of your generosity.
Someone once told me that by giving we are rewarded many times over. For me that has been so very true. Steemit has taught me that to give is to Love.
Maybe you’re like me, and you don’t want to get all up in the politics of steemit. Not crazy about Discord, gaming , music or meet ups because frankly it just isn’t me. I get enough chit chat on the streets every day. The people that enjoy other venues on steemit are really good at keeping the rest of us informed.
What I can do is keep my eyes open to new minnows and give to those who need it the most.
This is not a rant. No one can tell you how to spend your hard earned crypto currency. I personally have a weakness for children, both the underprivileged and those abused by the system. Both groups are represented here on steemit.
I also love animals (dogs,cats,horses,birds,exotic) especially chickens (I had to say that cause they are watching) so we give to the animals too.
What is true is we are rich in spirit and our hearts are full having known so many wonderful people here on steemit.
Give when you can, someday we may be the people in need.

Thank you so very much for such a heart felt mini-treatise and reminder about one of the best things we can do in this life.
As someone who volunteers a lot of my time helping others, I truly appreciate the reminder to make sure I am doing my part supporting those that do well and good on the blockchain. There is a very soft spot in my innards for minnows just getting started and people who put their labors where their opinions are, and I try really hard to upvote and support them accordingly. However, I, like you, don't spend too much time treading through the chit chat realm of Steemit as I am inundated in analog life with such things.
Guess what I am trying to spit out is thank you so much for the friendly chicken peck of a reminder to do better on the giving front:o)

As a kid i was taught, the most precious thing that one can give, is their time.
In the real world spending time with people who have no one (and this group is alarmingly large) is one of the greatest things you can give
It would be hard for me to get there. So my next best alternative is through donations here on steemit. Time is a great way to volunteer too. 🐓🐓
Thank you for your amazing support to charities via @pennsif and learning about @SchoolForSDG4 especially. I am also a great supporter of @dreamsoftheocean @YouAreHope @familyprotection . I am sure people will support such cause. I recently read a post which made me happy as people consider my charity in their favourite list. It is a great chance to change the world and we are lucky that we are witnessing it.
So true azizbd, things are changing fast. I do hope more people give to your school so the children reap the benefits you have to offer them. Keep up the good work. 🐓🐓
