June 30 Days Writing Challenge - Life Hacks - Day Twentieth: Crypto Inspiration
Another beautiful day of June on Steemit and another post for the writing #challenge30days is served by me on your feed. Yesterday I wrote about testing the water with your own finger as a life hack that I find it useful when not feel like going on second hand opinions and gossip and today I will tell you why I find inspiration very useful even in the crypto world.
I am not going to make a too long introduction of the post and talk about inspiration and it's esoteric implications as I am sure that most of you experience inspiring thoughts from time to time and know exactly what it is and how it works even if you don't take any action according to it all the time. But, although I consider it very important and a life's gem almost all the "chart professionals" from the crypto world state clear that it's not a tool for trading and investing.
I will have to disagree with them and will give you two examples to make it clear how it worked for me when I put it into action and what I regret after not listening to it. The first one is about going on with it and will take you back in time to February when the markets some kind of dipped, as well as my portfolio so I took a drastic, but very inspired decision. I knew that the market will recover, not exactly how much and how fast, but I had the inspiration to reinvest in it and I was inspired to do that by buying ETC.
Just after I did that I found that they're having an ETC hard fork so I hold the coins for about two weeks during which they almost tripled the price, BUT unfortunately I didn't had the inspiration to sell the at the best price as my mind "was telling it was going to the moon". I did get a good ROI with them in just two weeks, by buying the coins an $14.7 each and selling at $32, so I recovered my losses from entering the market at ATHs and regained my trust in it. This was my example of inspiration WORKING very well in cryptos, despite "professional" critiques.
Now, I will tell you shortly that when ETC was at about $12, ten days ago, I had also the inspiration that it will recover better than other coins and buy it, but this time I didn't listen to it as I embraced "too hard" the idea of HODLing and didn't want to sell my currently owned coins. Bad move, as ETC is recovering again very well comparing to some other coins, especially XRP which I own right now. I didn't made any move on inspiration tho...
So, from my experience, and not some youtubers "powerful advice" I discovered that YES inspiration works in crypto also so I will be a better listener in the future. It might work well, or not...but you can't know that without trying. On the other hand I am starting to believe that many of the crypto professionals around don't know shit and are predicting fairy tales for months, but don't have the gut to admit that this market is not like any other and almost impossible to predict.
