RE: "Go Beyond" Challenge #1 - with @evecab
Thank you for a great idea! I have always thought of myself as one dimensional in aspect. I write decently enough, not great but about average (I have low self-esteem issues lol) and it was always the written word that I was most comfortable with.
My oldest sister is very good in photography and film making, my 2nd sister is good in singing and painting, my youngest brother has a knack for numbers that borders to genius levels and I write my poems and short stories. Thats how it has always been growing up.
Being in Steemit I have seen so many people who are multi talented and I am a bit jealous
I am a one trick pony that eventually would lose its novelty and no one would engage my work.
A lot of the people in my group always hear my complaint that I can't draw to save my life. Infact one person @jacinta.sevilla even created a competition aimed for non-artists because I think she is tired of my excuses. If interested to join go to this link
I bluffed my way in arts and crafts in school, drawing assignments usually done by my sister albeit with lower skill level so I won't get caught and anything artistic in nature I just clammed up and past it to someone else.
This year I strive to go beyond the limitation I set myself a long time ago. This year I set to learn how to draw using digital media. I would try traditional method as well but I think my success will lie in using the digital form. I want to create webtoons showing my life, my misadventures with work, my boundless energy of a beagle and everything else that I find funny.
I will not let the voice in my head say "I can't do it" I will do my best to overcome this limitation and go beyond and reinvent myself as a multifaceted individual both here in Steemit and outside.
Who knows someone might appreciate my webtoons and I go viral haha.

Go on for your dream. Its good if we stretch forth our abilities because I believe that there are still hidden talents that are about to be discovered by ourselves alone. I also love arts because it is fun.:)
Thank you for the encouraging words! Yes I have always wanted to do art.
Hey there, @maverickinvictus! I recognize some of my own insecurities with what you're describing, and I think we all have them to a certain level. I'm sure that you are much better at drawing than you think =). Just keep doing it and learning, because the worst you can do it not try at all and let that little voice in your head win.
True enough it is better to try and fail than not try it all and think of a whatif :)
A lot of people have been telling me to try and giving me encouragement.
yes, now you need to believe that you can and tell yourself every day =)
