The tree grew and grew. Its branches rose to the sky. Its leaves had become a means to acquire things. Each individual was going to remove the tree's beautiful and beautiful leaves. After a while, the tree looked sick, as did the inhabitants.

Great use of symbolism. I assume the tree is the Earth... And the money grabbers are us inhabitants who continue to try and turn a profit regardless of the consequences for our planet... We will all repent in time... The writing is on the wall.. Every scientist worth his/her salt have warned us, yet we continue on our blind path of destroying the very thing the latest keeps us alive... You couldn't make it up really...
