Fig 96. The mycelium (red background) sends out tendrils to interface with the roots (blue background). This creates a symbiotic relationship between fungi and plant. The fungi trades minerals and nutrients from the soil in return for sugar.

Yeah, that's what I mean! Thanks for participating, your entry is noted. I can almost hear Sir Attenborough talking about the symbiosis of fungi and plant, just like when he described the fungi growing out of the bodies of infested insects -- just watch the video, it is awsome!
