RE: The thing that is making trimming my followING count soooooo easy

It kind of depends on what you want to do with it; my blogs here about Steemit dont have any business being replicated to my Twitter, for example, by my blogs about natsec and informationwar do!

the other side of this is that we have to engage on any of these platforms to get any meaningful result from them...to engage with relevant action ( beyond the "I agree" and "great post!" comments; we only have so much time to engage in a day, so we can't "win" on all levels

Steemit has the most promise of any platform I've seen so far, not just because of the payout (which is nice!), but b/c of the blockchain and censor-resistant nature of it!

so for me, i have make my strategy
A- count on other platforms
B- recruit for steemit

Sort:

Having that strategy is the key,. You know what and where you're sharing the stuff that you do, and that is half the battle right there. Engagement is where it starts getting more difficult, but with a fine tuned approach, it can be very beneficial and enjoyable.

Engagement is where it starts getting more difficult

exactly, and splitting engagement resources (time, attention, energy) over multiple social media platforms makes it more difficult to be effective

Yes sir, and the effectiveness is the reason you're doing it in the first place, catch 22 in so many ways :)
