Hi Dandays, thanks for replying.

I got my information from Netblocks.org. If you think that they are mistaken, you are closer to the location than I. I was talking to friends from Tehran yesterday after learning this and they confirmed that they couldn't get in touch with a couple cousins because they don't have landlines.

Re-reading your comment, I'm really not sure what you are saying or trying to communicate. There are a lot of things going on.

Maybe I wasn't clear in my original post, but what I was trying to say is that without decentralized power and telecom infrastructure we (the people) will always be beholden to state actors that can shutdown bitcoin in a location by the flip of a switch.

If there are any news sources you trust personally that you can point me to, please feel free to comment below.
