In the Middle Ages, both in Islamic World and in Europe, agriculture was transformed with improved techniques and diffusion of crop. Agriculture has played an important role in the history of world. There are still some countries of the world which still cannot grow crops. It all began in 1942 after the Colombian Exchange brought new crops to old world and Europe.

And since after that it has been the backbone of many countries and is still playing an important role.
