Well, continuing with the daily challenge as many in the community, I will continue to participate in #celestialchallenge this @Sirknight initiative, thanks to the community of @steemchurch.

Today, Sunday of light, I want to talk about our star, our source of light, because almost all the energy we have comes from the...

“Sun”

The cause of the winds, of the formation of the clouds, of the rains, of the evaporation of the surface waters, consequently, of the waterfalls. Its heat and light are the basis of numerous chemical reactions essential for the development of plants and animals, and more ...

The sun has been worshiped, venerated and considered a very powerful deity by many cultures and in very diverse places throughout the earth.

Some of these cultures, especially the oldest because they have no writing and others because of their oral tradition, did not leave a trace of their link with the sun, but others left us samples in their art (sculptures, painting, architecture, poems and songs) as well as in his writings, proclaiming the value they gave to the star king, considered a superior being from different points of view by each one in his particular way.

There are a lot of solar gods by cultures

For the Egyptians, the sun represented heat and light. This made the solar deities important.
Because of this the cult of the sun prevailed for centuries and associated their power to many gods such as Ra, Horus, Hathor, among others ...
The God of the image is "Ra" this one had the body of a man with the head of a hawk on which he carried the solar disk.

In Greece it was "Apollo" , considered the Greek god of light and sun; the truth and the prophecy; the archery; medicine and healing; music, poetry and the arts; and more.

The Incas culture settled in what is now Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, part of Chile and Argentina had as the most important deity the Sun God called Inti . The Inca or emperor, was considered the son of Inti. It is said in the legend of Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo that they were sent by their father the Sun. Considered by the Inca dynasties as the Supreme Maker. With the Spanish colonization, and the Catholic religion imposed, the subjects of the Inca empire were forced to stop worshiping it. Inti's wife, Quilla, was the Moon, goddess of women and female affairs. In honor of the sun god, the Inti Raymi is celebrated every June 24th and the Raymi Cápac is celebrated in December.
