Greetings dear friends of Steemians and all the community of @steemchurch, today in #celestialchallenge started by @sirknight, sharing on "Monday-darkness"

Although there are many elements that provide protection against the sun's rays, it is important that when choosing the color of our clothes we choose a dark clothing since it offers a greater degree of protection against UVA rays, although the logic leads us to choose light colors because they are cooler and prevent heat from concentrating on our clothes, they are not the most recommended.

Ultraviolet rays cause the skin to burn, causing pain, redness and swelling. Depending on the severity of the burn, damaged and dead skin may peel to make room for new skin cells.

Although the symptoms of sunburn may disappear after several days, the damage to your skin remains. Exposure to the sun that is so intense as to cause a burn can damage even the DNA of skin cells and cause cancer.

Many people may feel an instinctive desire to spend hours sunbathing, despite the known health risks involved. "This information could serve as a valuable means of educating people to reduce excessive sun exposure, in order to limit the risk of skin cancer, as well as the premature aging of the skin that occurs with repeated exposure. to the sun, "said the study's lead author, David Fisher, of the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University (United States).

By tradition for the days when the sun's rays are strongest in most cases we choose clear clothes, we have to change this paradigm, since according to studies done are dark colors like black, also blue or brown they are the ones that protect us the most, making the reservation that if the clothes get wet, they lose their protective capacity.

When outdoors, wear clothes that cover your skin, long-sleeved shirts, long pants and long skirts cover most of the skin and offer maximum protection.

In addition to this it is advisable to use: glasses, umbrellas, caps or hats and UVA and UVB protection filters.
Trying as much as possible to avoid the sun during the hours of greatest intensity. The sun's rays are more harmful from 10 in the morning to 16 hours.

This would explain why people like the Tuaregs of the Sahara desert wear dark colors and they are covered to the eyes. It is not surprising, since to go well covered supposes a good protection against the rays of sun and before the blizzards of sand. In this way, with an ancestral logic, the Tuaregs, when dressing in their dark robes, are protecting themselves from the risk of skin diseases.
The Tuareg have been aware that fabrics with a thicker fabric offer better protection than fabrics with a looser fabric. And, in addition, they have another key factor: the width of their clothes generates refreshing internal air currents.
The Bedouin tents are also dark.
A similar example is found in the tents of the Bedouins, who use dark awnings, since by absorbing more light they contribute less light radiation, that is, they give more shade inside.
