My most sincere and cordial greetings to all the friends of heavenly challenge and @sirknightToday is Wednesday and I would like to share an interesting story

Shi Cheng, the incredible underwater city of china.

Sure that you know the story of many cities that have been submerged by the gua and the time has deteriorated over the years, but i found interesting the history of this city that in spite of the fact that has approximately 59 years submerged the greater part of its structure is kept in very good condition.

In the year 1957 the Chinese government decided to build a hydroelectric plant to meet the needs of the cities, Shanghai and Hangzhou, the plant was the first of its kind in this country, and they are carried out in the Xin'an river in a gorge located 6km west of these cities.

For this plant would need a large reservoir therefore had to sink several historical cities these gave rise to a group of islands that go under the names of the Thousand Islands Lake Scenic.

The widest point of this river has more than 9 km ,the deepest point is 100 meters and the river is in its entirety 580 square kilometers and the water capacity is 17800 million cubic meters.

A bit of history

For more than 1600 years China was divided by three powerful kingdoms Wei, Shu, WU and maintained a constant war ; after many of these wars the general I'VE QI of the state of Wu(220-280 AD) conquered the lands of Shexian ( part of the city Huangshan today) the founder of the county of WU writes to the general to congratulate and ascend with the title of powerful general, which then took two stones that placed to delimit the counties Chun'an and Sui'an forever.

In the year 2009 a Chinese official called Qiu Feng decided to go see what was below deThousand Islands Lake Scenic hoping to find some vestige to reminisce about this city that the story describes as the most beautiful although you will find few structures full of algae, slime and was invaded by fish was served in your adventure ,but her biggest surprise was when submerged in the river, and could see that the city Shi Cheng was found in perfect condition.

With the help of the National Geographic Magazine Magazine of China was made by the expedition as there was no specialized equipment for this; today this is a tourist attraction for those who like diving and dare to dive to see this code in the depth of this river.
