Hi steemitian, this is Hasan rauf and fresh software Engineer. Today my topic is structure on celestial challenge and I want to share the structure of Unity3D platform and how to develop a 3d game at Unity3D. So, this is my first tutorial on steemit and i hope you will like it. let’s start with the basics.
After installation and sign procedures, when you open the Unity Engine you will see this window on screen. There are two different options names “NEW” and “OPEN”. So for new members you will select the “NEW” option. If you have any project like mentioned above in the image than, you will select “OPEN” Option.
1ST Window:
2nd Window:
After that you will see the new window and there are several options like
- Project Name.
- Location.
- 3D Or 2D.
- Cancel or Create Project.
So, give the project name and select the location or path where you want to save your project on Different Drives. If you want to design 3D game so, select click on 3D option. If you want to design 2D game than, click 2D option.
Main Window:
After that, this is main window for designing the game either 2D or 3D.
Scene Window:
This is a scene window where you will adjust, move, rotate and edit something.
Game Window:
This window shows all the objects or game play window.
Hierarchy Option:
In this option you will different game models and objects.
Game Play and Stop Option:
When you design different game scene and working on main camera and apply movement script on main camera, than you click on play button to start you game and stop and pause for stopping game.
Inspector:
This will show all the options of main camera. Different objects, models have different inspector in which you can transform and adjust the position, rotation, and scale the models and other options mentioned above.
Different Option:
Three different options
- Display.
- Gizmos.
- Different Axis.
Display has different options like sky box, fog, animated materials and etc. Gizmos are also called Labeling of objects. Gizmos show the object’s name in Scene window.
This is the basic information before designing the game in Unity 3D. I will post my 2nd blog soon on "How to make 3D games on Unity Part II"
