Penguins are one of the most beloved birds of the animal kingdom. The cinematographic culture, its peculiar way of moving and its physiognomy have been responsible for granting a special appeal all over the world.
Of the species, there are known characteristics such as its inability to fly, its vulnerability to global warming and perhaps the most pressing: its tendency to maintain a partner throughout its life.

Penguins, unlike many species, have a special gland that allows them to consume salt water. Through its mechanism, it filters and removes excess chlorine, sodium and potassium from the bird's bloodstream.
Such quality gives you the advantage of not having to look for another type of liquid as humans and terrestrial animals would have to do.

If a female, male or pair of these birds loses their egg, they may try to steal theirs from another pair of their species. Even so, this does not work because of the parents' proximity to the breeding. In general, it is the father who is in charge of the hatching, while the mother goes in search of food.

Most penguins are monogamous, which mate with the same pair year after year. His system to recognize himself among his companions is the voice. Each specimen has a different intonation, which allows young people to separate between their parents and, among the large groups, each has its own distinctive.
The penguins are oriented by the sun, depending on where the sky is, to know when to be in the water and when they are on the ground.
They also calculate your emigration times and stay in one place because of the location of this.

Despite popular belief, penguins do not live alone in cold climates. One of its species lives near the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, remaining healthy thanks to the cold water currents that travel from Antarctica.
This allows the species to adapt to this ecosystem, where it has the possibility to locate and hunt food from the area.
