Food Photography Challenge - Week 81 | "📷Capture, Click, Compete!📷" - Baranki and bubliki

Hi everybody!

Maslenitsa has begun! It is a traditional Russian holiday of farewell to winter and welcoming spring. Throughout Maslenitsa, which lasts a week, it is customary to treat guests with pancakes, but baranki and bubliki are also often part of the festive table.

Baranki and bublik are baked from dough and have a round shape, which symbolizes the sun and rebirth. Baranki usually have a smaller diameter compared to bubliks. They are often harder and crispier. Bubliks are large and soft. Both bubliks and baranki are most often eaten with tea.
