Hello there Steemit Herbalizers! How are you today? It's a cool morning here due to the fogs outside and the chirps of the morning birds makes me want to go back to bed again. It's so peaceful as I roam around my beautiful garden while taking shots of my herb plants which grows abundantly without taking so much care. They grow wild actually even with less water. As shown above, you can see four of my herb plants:

  1. PANYAWAN
  2. Curry Leaf Tree
  3. Aloe Vera
  4. Sinaw-Sinaw orPansit-Pansitan

These four elements play a very important part in our lives with its medical contents believed to cure and/or prevent further complications in our body. Each has varied qualities and benefits that you may deem fit for you.
Benefits and Remedies:

PANYAWAN - Study suggests that bitter plant is beneficial for the treatment of patients with lung problem, liver, constipation, diabetes, asthma, sinus, cough, skin complexion problems and other related deficiency. The good thing is that it can be taken internally and applied externally.
First, we go on the internal aspect: Leaves and stems are used accordingly. This process is called DECONCOCTION wherein the leaves and stems are boiled in order to dissolve the elements needed and simplified in form of tonic or juice with proper dosage of each intake. Therefore, medical attention is still required or consult those who are already using it for more details. Second, Panyawan can be used as liniments and febrifuge. This means that it can be used for rubbing or in powder form for the treatment of skin ulcers, scabies, athlete’s foot and other minor skin disorders. Third, Panyawan can be used as an insecticide because of the chemical present which contains Alkaloid because of its bitter flavor. Farmers often use this as organic insecticide sprayers to get rid of plant pests. (see www.panyawan.com)

CURRY LEAF TREEE - Otherwise known as Sweet Neem Leaves in Indian places, this aromatic leaf is often used in kitchen cuisine as seasonings not only in native India but to those who are curry lovers here and abroad. Its oil extract is also used for as a scent in some soap products. The leaves are used for herbal treatment as AYURVEDIC.

Aloe Vera - This ‘wonder plant’ is famous for its aloe gel. It is used widely in cosmetics (specifically creams/lotions) and food supplements as flavorings which is duly approved by FDA. This succulent takes pride for its gel that can be found in the inner leaf called Aloe latex.
Aloe Vera has been used since the olden times as anti-inflammatory. It is therefore necessary to cultivate this plant at home for first aid use, especially when you get burned due to accidents while cooking or when your skin scratched. I myself plant it in a small pot where I can easily reach for it just in case.
Aloe Vera is being studied up to present for more discoveries on its “healing power” hence it is very popular in various botanical gardens worldwide. It is best for teeth and gums hence more toothpaste products instill the use of Aloe Vera for health benefits. (See. www.Aloe Vera.com.)

Sinaw-Sinaw

The last but not the least, is commonly called as Sinaw-Sinaw or Pansit-Pansitan in layman's term. As you can see below my potted Aloe Vera, the Sinaw-Sinaw plant just grew wild without totally planting it. It simply grows in cool, damp areas. Otherwise known as Peperomia pellucida, this shiny bushy little plant has huge medicinal benefits.

This medicinal plant is also best for the following: Abdominal pains, Abscesses, Arthritis, burns, Diarrhea, Eye inflammation, Fever, Gout, Headache, High Blood Pressure, Mental Excitement Disorder, Prostate Problems, Renal Problems, Skin Boils, Skin Inflammation, Sore Throats, Urinary Problems, Wounds, etc. The good thing is that it can be eaten raw or cooked. For me, I pull the smaller plant, clean the roots and soak it in full water-filled bottle. I drink the water every day. I have observed that the plant stays fresh if the whole plant is intact, though I change the plant every three days since I have lots of it in my garden. Scientific studies support these findings. (see Peperomia_pellucida) for more details.

There, I have done my part to spread the good news guys and it's up for you to do your own research about these herbs.

Good day everyone!
