Storks - Ciconia on the nest
Almost on every column in the village we saw nests of storks. No one worries about storks. They feel great.
In the people there is a belief that if, to destroy a nest of a stork, the stork can take revenge on the offender. The old people say that there were cases when the stork took out a burning branch from the fire and threw it on the roof of the house of its offender. It's just a fairy tale, but people believe in it.
I saw pillars where the stork's nests are not, but people at the top of the pillar have constructed a structure that facilitates the storing device of the nest.
Stork is a very useful bird. A stork is an active predator, they destroy toads, snakes and mice.
Storks are excellent neighbors with large horned and other livestock, you can see it in one of our posts. They, apparently do not consider themselves birds, they see in cows and horses kindred spirits.
In this photo you can see an adult stork and a chick. This nestling is not smaller than its parent and it is very voracious. Parents have to work very hard to feed the baby.
Another belief says that the work of parents about caring for the baby is very grateful. When a stork becomes old and can not take care of itself, its children take care of their parent. They hunt and feed their parents, who are no longer able to hunt independently.
Sometimes I read articles where it was said that the stork was engaged in theft. He carried to his nest everything that he liked in the private courtyard of a man. One article said that the stork had taken the grill for the brazier. Perhaps it was not a stork at all, but perhaps it's the neighbor who lent the grate, but we will not know it.
In the Latin stork - Ciconia.

That's only because you can't hear a hypocrite.
That is a good song, the drummer sings in that one right?
Who?
Very good catch, I just wonder if those storks are migratory birds?
Thank you @cosmophobia ! Yes, storks migrate every year. In the spring they again arrive.

I think people should kept the story about stork's revenge for centuries 😁, there's so many myths that needed to keep as if the truth to keep the balance of natural life.
I have never seen stork's nest before, because they live away from the human compounds in Aceh, thank you for sharing with us.
