8 Minute CBD Test: 3 Strain Shootout! Cannatonic, A Blue Ox Cross and Tsue (My cut of Cannatonic x Sour Tsunami)
Everyone Having Fun With My 8 Minute CBD Test?
I picked up two other strains from a neighbor and decided to test them and post the results. The Cannatonic and Blue Ox cross are both from seed, and they were harvested a few years ago. The Tsue sample is from day 60'ish, nearly 2 weeks of flower left to go.
Tsue Wins! Hands Down, No Contest! LOL
I did the Cannatonic and Blue Ox tests first, and was quite surprised by the results. Though the seeds were billed as high CBD, the strains apparently are not very stable. You can see the Cannatonic is barely registering CBD, not even enough to turn purple. The Blue Ox strain looks almost completely empty of CBD, zero purple tint at all.
I was thinking I might be doing something wrong, until I ran the test on the Tsue sample. Daaaaaaaang! That's a pretty purple. lol I know I've said it before, but seeing it show up is so amazing every time. Sooo pretty. :D
I imagine there will be different phenos with different ranges of thc/cbd amongst seeds with the same strain. Cool post. I love learning new stuff👍
Indeed You're Correct
because the Canna-Tsu clone I have is from a batch of seeds. I've been told growing some out will get you all kinds of ratios of CBD:THC. I was still shocked at how low the Cannatonic tested at. Oh well! :D
I also suspect a lot of the cbd products being pushed at despenserys are not what they say they are. Just as a lot of edibles are not the thc listed on package.
I imagine you're correct. This test will work as a positive/negative for concentrates, I doubt edibles would work well. lol :D
