CATURDAY Fuffolina Time 😼

It’s that wonderful time of the week again, and this time I’m posting on the correct day: it’s #caturday, everyone!
Last week I told you how I had just discovered the existence of #caturday here on SteemIt and introduced you to our resident Crown Prince, BEAUTIFUL Fuffolino.

Today, it’s time for the Princess Royal to shine, so make way for my beloved. As usual, you may skip the Italian translation.

È di nuovo quel meraviglioso momento della settimana e stavolta ho persino pubblicato il post nel giorno giusto: è #caturday, amici miei!
La settimana scorsa vi ho detto di come avevo appena scoperto dell’esistenza del #caturday qui su Steemit e vi ho presentato il nostro Erede al Trono, il BELLISSIMO Fuffolino.

Oggi è tempo che anche la Principessa Reale si goda un po’ i riflettori, quindi fate posto per la mia amata.

She’s also a norwegian forest cat but she hasn’t reached her species full growth potential, and at a year and a half she weights only about 3kg (7 lb).
She’s also much more difficult to photograph, because she hasn’t got that Vogue in her that Fuffolino has, which prompts him to strike beautiful poses.

She’s Fuffolino’s sister in every sense, as they come from the very same litter, born on April 12th 2016. I find her just as beautiful, if not as striking as her brother: photos don’t do her colors justice, but she has beautiful shadings and some red accents that are particularly offset when her brother’s nearby.
Of course, since her brother’s “Fuffolino” she’s become “Fuffolina”, but her given name also comes from Nordic mythology and it’s Sleipnir, Odin’s six-legged horse. My boyfriend had originally wanted to use that name for whatever cat we first got, but I told him that he had to wait for a black or otherwise dark cat, at least. I’m pretty sure that’s why he decided to take her in as well.
As to her litter VIP name, I confess that I don’t really remember if she’s Beyoncé or Brigitte Bardot. When we went to chose her we kept alternating between the two and I can’t remember which one we ended up settling for.

Fuffolina joined us later than her brother. We’d gotten him in July and were so delighted with him that it didn’t take much for the breeder to convince us to get a second one. Fuffolino had been the first pet for either of us, but we thought we were doing pretty well with him by November, when Fuffolina arrived. Also, Andrea thought Fuffolino might enjoy the company, so he maintains that Fuffolina was bought for him. Basically, my boyfriend has a cat and his cat’s got a cat.

Since they were about seven months old at the time we took Fuffolina in and this is not Casterly Rock, she was neutered before getting here (and Fuffolino a while later, in January). Unfortunately, that wasn’t her only surgery, because after being here for just a few days she managed to get herself a broken hip, just like a cliché old lady. Her first few weeks here were therefore a little troubled, as she had to have another surgery, keep a metal pole on her leg for about a month and undergo surgery again to take it out. All the while being separated from her brother, who had developed the habit of tumbling around with her every chance he got.
But she got over it, fortunately, and the doctor said she mended perfectly.

Because she gets hurt more easily, she’s smaller, and way smarter, my boyfriend openly prefers his big red beast to her. Therefore, for equity, although I love Fuffolino very much, I am usually much more affectionate towards her.

Anche lei è una norvegese delle foreste, ma non ha raggiunto tutto il potenziale di crescita della sua razza e, pur avendo ormai un anno e mezzo, pesa solo 3 kg.
È anche molto più difficile da fotografare perché non ha la stessa vena Vogue di Fuffolino, che gli fa assumere delle pose plastiche da perfetto modello.

È sorella di Fuffolino in tutti i sensi, essendo nati entrambi dalla stessa cucciolata, il 12 aprile 2016. Io la trovo altrettanto bella, anche se non appariscente quanto lui: le foto non rendono giustizia alla sua colorazione, ma ha delle bellissime sfumature ed in particolare degli accenti rossi che vengono particolarmente in risalto quand’é vicina al fratello.
Ovviamente, siccome suo fratello era già “Fuffolino”, lei è diventata subito “Fuffolina”, ma anche il suo nome ufficiale appartiene alla mitologia norrena: Sleipnir, il cavallo a sei zampe di Odino. Il mio ragazzo avrebbe voluto usare subito il nome Sleipnir per il primo gatto che avessimo preso, ma gli ho detto che avrebbe dovuto aspettare un gatto nero o, quantomeno, scuro. Sono abbastanza convinta che sia per questo che ha voluto prendere anche lei.
Confesso di non ricordare se il nome VIP che le era stato dato alla nascita fosse Beyoncé o Brigitte Bardot. Quando siamo andati a sceglierla, eravamo indecisi tra le due e non ricordo, alla fine, per quale abbiamo deciso.

Fuffolina si è unita a noi più tardi del fratello. Avevamo preso lui a luglio ed eravamo così ammirati di quanto fosse adorabile che l’allevatrice ha avuto gioco facile nel convincerci a prendere il secondo. Fuffolino è stato il primo animale domestico per entrambi, ma ce la stavamo cavando egregiamente ora di novembre, quando è arrivata Fuffolina. Tra l’altro, Andrea pensava che a Fuffolino potesse far piacere avere un po’ di compagnia e tutt’ora sostiene che Fuffolina sia stata comprata per lui. Quindi, in sostanza, il mio ragazzo ha un gatto e il suo gatto ha a sua volta una gatta.

Siccome avevano sette mesi quando abbiamo preso Fuffolina, e qui non siamo a Castel Granito, lei è stata sterilizzata prima di arrivare (Fuffolino qualche mese più tardi, a gennaio). Purtroppo, non è stata la sua unica operazione chirurgica perché, dopo soli pochi giorni che era qui, è riuscita a rompersi il femore come una brava vecchietta. Quindi le sue prime settimane qui sono state un po’ turbolente, essendosi dovuta sottoporre ad un altro intervento per applicare un tutore in metallo, che ha tenuto un mese ed ha poi dovuto togliere sempre chirurgicamente. In tutto questo, dovevamo tenerla lontana dal fratello, che aveva preso l’abitudine di rotolarsi su di lei ad ogni occasione.
Ma l’ha superata, per fortuna, e il dottore ha detto che si è riparata perfettamente.

Perché si fa male più facilmente, è più piccola e molto più intelligente, il mio ragazzo preferisce di gran lunga il suo bestione rosso. Quindi, per equità, anche se amo immensamente Fuffolino, in genere sono molto più affettuosa con lei.
