This can then be sculpted into various activities including games, puzzle solving and general play. As the cat reaches its comfort zone without its household, it will begin to show its daring and mischievous personality. It will be of no surprise that it may try to put its nose where it shouldn’t and it’s even been known to take residence around the dinner table with the family. While this might seem as a troublesome trait, owners will come to love the overall engagement from this active and intelligent cat.

Devon Rex cats are regarded as smaller and lightweight cats, reaching up to 10 pounds. Though this type of breed has been deemed to be healthy in general, there are certain conditions to look out for. Many of the potential ailments relate to loss of hair, joint/muscle weakness and heart diseases. Hereditary disease of conditions are often present in this type of cat. For instance, the myopathy of the Devon Rex is a condition that cannot be treated. After the first few weeks/months of its life an assessment will be taken to check the condition of its muscles and general energy levels. A tell-tale sign of this is a Rex that is lethargic and weak.
