Kitten Teething Tips II

in #cats5 years ago

It’s often thought that during the teething phase, turbulence should be expected and some behavioural changes may appear. As the new set of teeth grow, they will eventually penetrate the gum layer, leading to some discomfort in a cat. It is at this point that noticeable observations can be made.

Teething isn’t an easy time for a cat, they may begin to gnaw at various items in the household. This is not to be regarded as a disorder, it is simply a transition phase well within normal behavioural expectations. Past six weeks, effects should begin to subside but this is highly dependent on the kitten itself. It may take slightly shorter or ever considerably longer for a full set of teeth to grow.
