Cat Grading and Appreciation I

Cat showing is a wonderful event to be part of. The pride of getting a precious partner into its best condition and being recognised for it is a huge attraction for prospective breeders who are yet to join the showing circle. For many outside of the showing industry, a common curiosity remains as to how cats are recognised or graded for their quality.

As with any competition that revolves around the showing of cats, there are a few attributes that are explored. Established judges will review the cat in question and provide an assessment by following a set criteria. Depending on the category that a cat has been entered for, the approach to quality will vary.
