Here are a few ways to say "cat" in other languages:
Apache: gidi

3. Dealing with the Dirty Squirties
When cats get diarrhea, stop feeding them. Nothing in, nothing out. Go 24 hours with no food and if the diarrhea hasn't stopped, it's time to see the vet.
4. Cats Most Like Dogs
Here are a few cat breeds that are most like dogs:
Bombay (loves to play fetch and greet visitors at the door)

Russian Blue (loves to fetch and is sensitive to the feelings of humans)
5. Traveling with Cats
Put a small litter box in the crate with the cat. Leave a bit of the old "stuff" in there so the cat will know it is their litter box.
6. Marking Their Territory
Cats rub their body or face against things (or you!) to mark things as their own. This is a warning to other cats to stay away. Rubbing against your head means they love you.

9. I'm All Ears
Cats are all ears, that is! A cat's ear has more than 40,000 nerve fibers so they can hear both high and low frequencies. The other two animals who have a greater frequency range? The porpoise and the horse.

What I want to know about cats is what it means when a cat is waving its tail about. Is that a sign of aggression? What's been your experience, Peggy?
Gary
Gary, I read that it's a sign of excitement. I'm not sure it's aggression, but it might depend on the cat.
I just checked in Google (where else?) and it seems that we're probably both right - along with other possible interpretations too.

How about the word for cat in Indonesian. It's kucing - pronounced koo-ching with the emphasis on koo.
And how about the cat that acts most like a crazy clown - the Cornish Rex.
And how about the cats that have only the under layer of hair - the Cornish Rex and the Devon Rex. It was due to a mutation back in the 1950s (I think that's the right date).
Very cool fun facts. Thanks, Kate! I have a friend who posts
photos of her Rex cats. They are not so pretty but are really
interesting looking!
