Life with Cats: MAGIC, THE CAT
Meet Magic..
She is nothing less but magical. She came to our lives thanks to Mojis Sanctuary.
Three years ago we adopted Kira the dog, from Mojis. We wanted to give Abraham a donation for giving us an amazing family member. This was just before Christmas, like now.
Abraham said, “No, one day we will go to a shelter and rescue a dog to bring to the Sanctuary, to fill Kira’s space and then you can pay shelter’s rescue fee.”
And so we did. It was February 2015. By then I was an animal rescue addict and even though we were living in one bedroom flat with 2 dogs, all I wanted was the high of rescuing another animal in need.
I never had a cat before, but knowing Bo would never allow me to get another dog, I decided a cat it is..
So the day we went to the shelter to rescue a dog for Mojis, I asked to be shown the cats area.. and there she was, this gorgeous, beautiful, majestic creature.
She looked at us, came as close to us as she could, and she meowed. Which we all heard as: that’s me, I am your cat.
Bo looked at me saying, “NO WAY WE ARE GETTING ANOTHER ANIMAL JUST YET. Let’s wait till March if she is still here we will get her.”
I was terrified. I thought there is no way this beauty will be here, I was in love, she was mine and the shelter wouldn’t hold her for us, which I agreed with.
But there was no stopping of this magic happening. Abraham offered a perfect solution. The Sanctuary rescued the cat till March, to make sure that Magic went where she belonged -- with us.
Obviously that was the only appropriate name for my feline queen. She is so loving and so special, enhancing our lives with her affection.
Magic gave me the gift of discovering totally new world -- world of cats. And it’s oh such a special world.
Life with cats is so much better, there is no doubt about that.

Relative to its body size, the clouded leopard has the biggest canines of all animals’ canines. Its dagger-like teeth can be as long as 1.8 inches (4.5 cm).

In the 1930s, two Russian biologists discovered that color change in Siamese kittens depend on their body temperature. Siamese cats carry albino genes that work only when the body temperature is above 98° F. If these kittens are left in a very warm room, their points won’t darken and they will stay a creamy white.
