He's still alive, last I heard, in a Victorian mansion in Illinois, "King Cat" - the only cat in the house - which is how Merlin likes it.
My obsession with one Maine Coon, rescued from the pound, a surly and scary looking creature to all but me - with just one look, I saw the king in the tattered court jester. Stop me! somebody stop me from thinking about Merlin!
