RE: In Loving Memory Of My Cat

in #cat7 years ago

What a beautiful collection of memories of you and your feline friend. So sorry that you had to say goodbye to such a good boy and a loved kitty. It sounds like you gave him a long, full, life with a loving home and lots of adventure. A perfect cat's life. The story about his friend who stopped coming around really got to me. Animals are so much more emotionally intelligent than we give them credit for. I hope you heal over time and save all of your memories of your beloved friend. He sure was a special cat.

It was a great post, @enjar is a beaut.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

I personally witnessed quite a lot of emotional intelligence from him. Anytime someone was having a bad day and just needed someone to hug he was there. Even when they probably did hug him a little too tight. He would get this look on his face like “oh, why do I allow this every time” hehe. But he understood.

What I found always interesting is you had to ask for his permission to pick him up. I never have seen that in a dog or another animal before. If you didn’t ask him he would escape or run. If you ask he would either stop and be allowed to be picked up or give you this look as if saying “no,” and walk away.
