LitWhips On Steemit #11: Supercar Sunday & My Current Steemit Take

What up fellow Steemians, how y'all doing? Hope alls good & y'all are enjoying your Weekend. This post is of course about cars and and my honest take of how Steemit has been past 3 to 4 weeks and may be what we can do as individuals to improve steemit in general.

Sunday is usually a day to kick back, relax and enjoy while pondering what you want to do in a new week. Supercars owners & enthusiasts usually meet up on sundays to have coffee or a meal together with friends and family while chatting and displaying their toys. It's a great way aswell to know and share opinions of what is going on around the world and exchange business ideas on a small scale may be.

There's always a motor event here and there to attend if you feel like it. Obviously it's always good to meet new people and learn a thing or two but in such meet ups there's always 2 or 3 individuals who just come to such events and talk shit about others whether it's about an individual with their cars, friends and whatever else is going on, God knows I hate such dipshits. Whatever thing you do or stuff you have they'll always be haters talking or doing lame shit like juvenile delinquents. We all need to do even one positive thing a day for whoever or whatever so that we can have a bright and better future tomorrow.

Now let's talk Steemit, as you know almost three weeks ago the price of Steem shot upto $1.6 which of course was very good for everyone in our steemit community. It kind of stayed stable for a little while but started dropping to it's usual value of around $1.2 per steem, then it continued to tumble and yesterday it hit $0.96/steem. It's not news to anyone here but I will tell you how it affects someone like me and minnows especially with accounts value under $100.

When you earn something less than $4 per post on average on Steemit it becomes very difficult to see your account value go up especially if the price of steem drops after you post and continues on that trend till post payout day. If you spend another $1 or 2sbd to buy an upgoat for your posts which I do then when payout reaches sometimes you'll see if you deduct the sbd you spent to upvote the post plus the rewards that are paid to others you'll likely see that the amount of upvotes you got mostly is around 1$ or less. Basically it's hard to earn anything decent if you factor in all these things especially with the drop of steem price.

These days of course the reward pools have shrunk significantly and when many are stingy with their upvotes you'll see that your payouts don't improve and value of your account is stagnant or moving at snails pace and it really doesn't do anything to help your voting power increase either. I think we should all try and increase the number of upvotes we give even by 2 or 3 for minnows or people with small accounts in order to see a positive change around steemit in future. A minnow will always try to upvote others in order to earn something tiny every week but majority of people with a medium or big accounts hardly vote the little person even if you have posted quality content to the best of your ability and know how.

Minnows as well need to learn that you cannot post anything rubbish and expect to earn something decent and don't comment 'Nice post, upvoted & followed' without taking the time to read atleast what the person has posted about. When you comment try to understand what the post is about so your comment can be decent and engaging. I have also noticed like others have that upvotes on comments have reduced, most probably its because of idiots spamming many comments section and when you do that we all loose out in some form or another.

Why don't we help one another grow and try to consider other people's view point or actions before condeming someone without understanding their reasons. Two days back I asked on somebody's post why Bitcoin was gaining on price and Steem is tumbling to lower than the average price and 2-3 people gave me a good explanation of why that was so which helped me understand the circumstance better and I learnt two more significant and important new information which I had no clue about. So you see asking important questions and being positive towards others really helps us all. I'm hoping steem price goes back up to it's usual this week and Kindly leave a comment on how this drop in price of steem has affected you and what advice you have for others who are facing these few issues I explained above about Steemit platform. Your thoughts and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
