My Wörthersee tour 2k18 - Oldtimer Special ~ part 2

in #cars6 years ago (edited)

Greetings fellow Steemians,

Decided to share with you the second part of my road trip to Wörthersee or Lake Wörth I dreamed about for several years now, that finally became true. As I mentioned in previous post me and my brother prepared and cleaned our cars for the traditional 37th car meet event in village Wörthersee that is located in Southern Austria.

Because I don't want to repeat everything again I decided to continue where I stopped/left
in Part 1 of My Wörthersee tour 2k18 (Where I shared more about how we got there and about first three of unforgetible hours of our road trip).

Decided that this part will be oldtimer GTi Treffen special, to hopefully give you at least a little bit of a feel of it's tradition and passion in every unique car, as this car meet has started and been on going every year,
a passion that "our grandpas" started
many years ago.

Here are the two classic T2 Transporter that were fully custom and really unique, but keeping it classy!

Awesome Swiss team!

There was everything you could imagine from V.A.G. group (Volkswagen Audi Gruppe (or Group)) and probably every Golf Gti year there is. Also a chance to see old, rare cars that you don't see on the road anymore.

Low enough to snap fingers!

There were also other german engineering beauties, a lot of tuning companies and really cheap prices, compared to prices back at home. One of those was this mint Beamer 3 series.

There's something special about these BBS wheel's..

Not an oldtimer just yet, but I thought it's appropriate and would be wrong not too.

Lots of really clean engine bays, engine swaps and upgraded parts.

Always loved "Rat" look and lots of stickers where ever my eyes went. :)

There's no real Volkswagen meet without the Bug!

Manual Schirocco GTS 1.8 from 1984.

Weirdly, but if I could pick one car for a ride from these shots it would be this Audi 100 Turbo from 1990 with that very special 2.2l 5 cylinder engine with quite a big Turbo compared to todays standards. It's package (with the badge) included a sport suspension, upgrade exhaust, keeping it a comfy ride and whole lot of Cho chuu noises.

Because Race car!

This one was another Audi "sleeper" the 200 series with another amazing sounding 5 cylinder engine.

This was my second part from my first ever Wörthersee tour that happened two weeks ago already.

Hope you enjoyed the Oldtimer Special "package". As mentioned before..

  • " This trip has definitely touched my heart, been a dream come true and I definitely couldn't go on it without all the help and motivation my brother is giving me when ever I need him, even if we're sometime half of the world away. "

There will be another part coming along with a montage video in near future, for any petrol head or a Volkswagen lover out there, like me. :)

Sort:
