New Subaru e-Boxer Forester and XV
Here we have the brand new MHEV Subaru e-boxer vehicles, the Forester and the XV.
You'll likely remembe back in September, Michael attended a Lavian launch of the e-Boxer varian 4x4 Subarus.
In fact this is the last video Michael filmed for Planet Auto.
The Forester may look the same, however it isn't, it's a new platform, which is wider and longer.
It still utilises the flat four Boxer engine however it's accompanied by an electric motor and lineratronic gearbox.
It has permanent 4x4, and the cabin has some changes too including facial recognition, for seat memory, mirrors etc
The XV is a completely new car and has the same flat four boxer engine accompanied by MHEV technology aptly named e-Boxer.
Both vehicles have a 12.3kw motor and offer 1-2 miles of pure electric power, this is used to assist the petrol engine, low speeds and offroading.
