JDM Car Auctions - Pick of the day

Daily JDM Car Auction Recommendations

The below vehicles are what I perceive as potential project and parts cars.

Model : Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6
Year : 1999
Engine : 4G63T (125,000km)
Start Price : $95 USD (Estimated auction end price at $2250)
Sale Date : 22/12/2017
Rating (1-5) : N/A (No inspection, sold as is)
Interior : N/A
Exterior : N/A

Sale Location : USS Nagoya

Unfortunately the vehicle was not inspected, this is the usual case with a bottom end project or potential parts car. As you can see there is front end damage, bumper could possibly be repaired, bonnet would need to be replaced. Rest of the car seems to be in good condition, interior has a few extra cup holders, gauges and an aftermarket steering wheel.

Model : Mitsubishi GTO VR4 MR
Year : 1998
Engine : 6G72T (116,000km)
Start Price : $476 USD (Estimated auction end price at $1750)
Sale Date : 22/12/2017
Rating (1-5) : N/A (No inspection, sold as is)
Interior : N/A
Exterior : N/A

Sale Location : USS Nagoya

Again, another vehicle with no inspection. The body seems to be relatively clean, headlights could use some sand and polishing, wheels are aftermarket and there looks to be an exhaust. The interior is interesting, there are 6 gauges, 5 on the dash and 1 on the A pillar. Aftermarket Razo/Momo steering wheel. Looks like an old HKS EVC device is connected. Could be an interesting "lucky packet" buy.

Model : Toyota Celica GT-FOUR RC ST185
Year : 1991
Engine : 3SGTE (110,000km)
Start Price : $0USD (Estimated auction end price at $1700)
Sale Date : 22/12/2017
Rating (1-5) : N/A (No inspection, sold as is)
Interior : N/A
Exterior : N/A

Sale Location : JU Niigata

It seems to be a trend in this post, no inspection. This is one of very few made, a limited edition ST185 GT Four model. It has All Wheel Drive and All Wheel Steering, a 3SGTE with a water cooled intercooler. It has an aftermarket exhaust, powdercoated white wheels, nasty paint discolouration and a few dents. The interior seems to have been badly stripped, horn removed from steering wheel, glove compartment ripped out and center console dash is left hanging. This was more than likely a track car wannabe. Pity it's been molested but can be parted for good money or rebuilt to all of it's glory.

Model : Subaru Impreza STI v3
Year : 1996
Engine : EJ20T (270,000km)
Start Price : $10USD (Actually sold during the time of writing this article for $638, I was going to say $900)
Sale Date : 21/12/2017 (Ooops)
Rating (1-5) : R (Rebuild)
Interior : D
Exterior : E

Sale Location : TAA Tohoku

This car would have been cheap and fun, great awd system, lightweight and powerful. This particular car had multiple small rust spots, multiple scratches varying in size and repaired paintwork as per inspection sheet. Regardless, this would have been a fantastic buy to have for Gymkhana and light track racing.

Both the Evo and the STI are serious worth a chance at that kind of price! Even for a winter car build they could be bags of fun!

I think the STI would probably be worth it as you said as a winter beater, I'm not sure what shipping rates to you would be but here it's around $1100 for Ro-Ro shipping + duties and taxes. That STI would be a steal for me but then again, they aren't on our collector's item list so I can't legally import it!

That is unfortunate we can import any without issue.
I can just picture garaging the M3 and 4wd drifts in the snow in the STI. Although it would likely break pretty quickly

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI, that is the one!. Is really fun the starting price, 95$, Jejejejeje.

Haha yeah! Super cheap starting price

Thanks for this post mate! This is very interesting and extremely useful to me for various reasons. First im a car salesman second i'm an enthusiast and biggest fun of Japanese super cars as all of them here in your post. I will follow you and i will always checking out such great posts as this. Regards Alex.
P.S I ve resteam your post if you don't mind.

Only a pleasure, thanks for the comment. Appreciate the support and the resteem! :)

That Evo is calling my name, wonder if they on the collectors item list for ZA? Heading that way for work next year/2019 maybe so would be nice if I could bring it home later on.

It's not on the list :( The Evo 6 TME used to be on the "list" but now they've taken it off, apparently too many were brought in (I don't see any on the roads so don't know what they are talking out!) how long are you going to be working there?

Not the generation EVO I would buy but still a great deal if you could snag it.

Very true.. It's still for sale action starts in 27 minutes! :)

Look @nelkeljdm the GTO has Advan Sienna Gen II wheels :D
They're worth more than the rest of the car.. Those are the same as I had on my GTO, now on the RX8. Its a VR4 MR twin turbo, shame it's in such bad condition :(

Haha too true, the condition isn't so bad. It's definitely workable. We've both seen worse... :)

Yeah, your pube infested black RX7 hahaha. :D

Technically because of all the Japanese pubes it makes mine more JDM than yours, b*tch!

Haha :D ... I could make a scathing comeback, but I am going let you off this time bro :D

I respect that and upvote you as a token of appreciation
