Next weekend at Fort Lauderdale, this 1991 Mercedes-Benz 250 GD will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's for around $40,000.

History of the Mercedes-Benz 250 GD

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, short for Geländewagen, cross country vehicle in German, is a luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr, automobile maker based in Austria and the cars are sold by Mercedes-Benz.

The model 250 GD is part of the serie G-Wagen 461, dedicated military and parapublic service model, produced between 1990 and 2001.

Technical Specification

With its 2.5 liter inline five-cylinder diesel engine with manual transmission, the 250 GD is not the fastest car on the road (the OM602 2.5 L Diesel I5 delivers 84 hp), but one of the most reliable. This model has four-wheel-drive, power brakes and aftermarket radio :-).

I like its looking with a army green and black color scheme.
