History of the Porsche 911
When Porsche wanted to improve its 365 a completely new model has to be created for more space for the occupants and storage for all set of golf clubs. Ferdinand Porsche, the eldest son of Ferry Porsche was in charge of the design while his cousin Ferdinand Piëch developped the engine.
The new model was presented at Frankfurt Auto Show in 1963 as the 901 but thanks to Peugot changed to 911 (Peugeot claims the right to three-digit car with zero in the middle).
Technical Specification
This 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo has a turbocharged 3.3 liter flat six-cylinder engine with four-speed manual transmission.
The coachwork is painting in Silver Metallic with a beautiful interior in Lobster Red leather.
