History of the Ferrari 500 Superfast
The Ferrari 500 Superfast was presented on the Pininfarina at the Geneva Motor Show in 1964. It was the last generation of the super-coupes produced by Ferrari from 1964 to 1966, named Superfast.
The Superfast was only produced to 37 examples (only 12 Series II were produced) and sold only to the best customers (Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, Barbara Hutton -Poor Little Rich Girl-, and John von Neumann). For this model Series II, it was orignally delivered to British sportsman Jack Durlacher, financial partner to the Rob Walker’s racing team.
Technical specification
The Ferrari 500 Superfast has a Colombo V12 engine with five-speed transmission producing 395 hp for a top speed of 280 kmh.
The coachwork was designed by Pininfarina with a tapered nose, rounded tail. This model was restored with its original scheme Blu Chiaro (only three in this color) over Naturale leather. It was fitted with factory air conditioning and power windows but no rear seats, sport cars !

Classic beauty, has a look of the early Lamborghini’s, thank you
For me, the only negative is the wooden dashboard but apart this detail, pure beauty.
Wooden dashes certainly are an acquired taste, the new Model 3 is very minimalist with one, it’s an interesting look.
