1949 Veritas BMW Rennsport
Some weeks ago, I discovered the German car company Veritas with the road car, the cabriolet Scorpion. Today, this stunning 1949 Veritas BMW Rennsport heads to auction next month through RM Sotheby's during Essen Sale (Germany) next month for about € 500,000.
History of the Veritas Reensport
The German car manufacturer, Veritas (Veritas-Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sport und Rennwagenbau : Veritas-Joint Venture for the Construction of Sport and Racing Vehicles) was founded just after the World War II by Ernst Loof (automotive engineer, racing driver and former head of BMW's racing division), Georg Meier (motorcycle racer) and Lorenz Dietrich (former BMW sales manager). They built a new racing car on the basis of the BMW 328.

Specification
The Veritas ReenSport has the BMW 328's engine, a 6-cylinder-engine of 1971 cm³ producing 125 hp for a top speed 150 kmh.
This example was completely restored by TT Workshop (Bristol, England) for about £ 100,000. Great job..
