Vote Now! Proton's First SUV
Okay if you are living here in Malaysia, you should know that GE14 election is coming and everyone who had registered on the system is encouraged to vote during the polling day.
But I'm here not to talk about that as it's a sensitive topic around Malaysia, don't ask me why 😅. I'm here to let you know what our national car maker, Proton is coming up with this April and you get the chance to vote too 😉.
Introducing Proton's First SUV
Proton recently comes up with this voting for it's first SUV's name and everyone gets to vote for it. The voting starts from April 2nd until April 30th, 12 midnight and Proton will choose five winners based on the best reasons that were given during the voting.
These winners get to receive some exciting prizes worth about RM 100,00 and include a "money can't buy" experience such as VIP invites during the model's launch and being the first people to drive the SUV at Proton's test track in Shah Alam.
We would like to share this significant milestone for Proton with our fellow Malaysians as the new SUV also represents a symbol of Malaysian achievement. Therefore, we will reward the public for participating as well as select five lucky poll respondents as winners to receive some exciting prizes,” said Abdul Rashid Musa, Proton’s VP of sales and marketing.

This SUV is proud to be the first SUV model that Proton ever had and it was developed together with Geely based on their car model, Geely Boyue.
Currently, there isn't any news on the about what will be powering the car but it's most likely to be the same engine as Geely Boyue which is a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 185 PS and 285 Nm of torque and all these power are send over to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Besides that, Proton has shown us that this SUV will be equipped with many features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and 360-Degree 3D View for Park Assist.
