Ciao amici!
Oggi voglio raccontarvi il mio CARNEVALE ALLE CANARIE!
Qui fanno tutto davvero in grande, non per niente è uno dei carnevali più belli al mondo.
Sull’isola il carnevale dura all’incirca 3 settimane. I più famosi sono quelli di Las Palmas al nord e quello di Maspalomas, dove siamo noi, al sud.
Ogni anno questo carnevale ha un tema diverso. Il tema di quello di Las Palmas è “una notte a Rio” e quello di Maspalomas è “la luna”.
Personalmente adoro tutto ciò che comporta travestirsi, specialmente le feste in maschera!

Il carnevale di Gran Canaria ha radici antiche, è nato circa 500 anni fa!

Qui il carnevale non è fatto solamente della classica sfilata dei carri che conosciamo ma di vere e proprie feste sui carri (che non sono troppo economiche), musica ad alto volume, concorsi tra le varie scuole di ballo, l’imperdibile sfilata delle Drag Queen.
È un clima adatto a tutte le età, i più piccoli si divertono tantissimo, ma non solo, anche i grandi fanno festa!

Quest’anno a Las Palmas il carnevale è iniziato il 15 febbraio e terminerà il 10 marzo.
A Maspalomas invece inizierà più tardi: il 14 marzo e terminerà il 24.
Nell’attesa di questo fantastico evento vi lascio un assaggio di quello passato.

Non so ancora quale sarà il mio costume quest’anno ma qui vi sono interi negozi dedicati al carnevale.
Sarà sicuramente un’esperienza pazzesca!

Today I want to tell you about my CANARY CARNIVAL!
Here they do everything really big, it is one of the most beautiful carnivals in the world.
The carnival lasts about 3 weeks on the island. The most famous are Las Palmas in the north and Maspalomas, where we are, in the south.
Every year this carnival has a different theme.
The theme of Las Palmas is "a night in Rio" and that of Maspalomas is "the moon".
Personally I love everything that involves dressing up, especially fancy dress parties!

The carnival of Gran Canaria has ancient roots, it was born about 500 years ago!

Here the carnival is not only made by the classic parade of wagons that we know, but of real parties on the wagons (which are not too cheap), loud music, competitions among the various dance schools, the unmissable parade of Drag Queen.
It is a climate suitable for all ages, the little ones have a lot of fun, but not only, even the big ones are partying!

This year in Las Palmas the carnival began on February 15th and will end on March 10th.
Instead, Maspalomas will start later: March 14th and will end on the 24th.
While waiting for this fantastic event I leave you a taste of the past.

I do not know yet what will be my costume this year but here there are whole shops dedicated to the carnival.
It will certainly be a crazy experience!
