SteemitBoard Carnival Challenge - From the longest carnival in the world - Uruguay
When you mention the Carnival in my homeland - the Czech Republic - the first thing which comes to people's mind is the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, and that's also what I had expected when coming to my first carnival here in Uruguay.
But here in Uruguay, it's much more to it than 'just' the samba dancers. Try to add the 'Murgas'; 'Tablados'; super-creative costumes; but most importantly Candombe - Intangible cultural heritage of humanity and you will get a parade full of colours, music, songs, dancers, craziness and mainly happiness.
The Carnival starts of with a Carnival parade which generally takes place at the end of January (before that, however, there are other parades where the artists practise for their big parade show and after the main parade, a week after you can see the Samba parade and then several more 'Llamadas')

It's a great spectacle! Seeing all the people united, enjoying the festivals, getting together. It's a great experience, and I'm so thankful I could be part of this show for already three times!
