Cannabis Cocktails, Shirley Let Me Lace It Up A Notch
The other day, I demonstrated how to make stewed strawberries and rhubarb laced with cannabis infused bee honey.
If you missed it, you can view it here:

To make this drink, you need to follow the procedure for the stewing, then you need to let that mixture just chill for 24 hours in a refrigerator.
Once you let the mixture rest, more juices will be drawn out of the rhubarb and berries. It’s this extra juice that we’ll be using to make a really special concentrated drink.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz of cannabis infused strawberry rhubarb concentrate.
- 5 oz of sparking (carbonated) water
- 1 small strawberry to garnish
Directions:
- Drain the stewed rhubarb mixture, using a fine mesh strainer over a medium size bowl. This with capture all the extra liquid which is the strawberry rhubarb concentrate.
This will take some time and although you can just passively let the fluids drain away from the mixture, it speeds up the process if you move the mixture around a little with a spoon. This keeps the strainer from clogging and a steady drip of juice, flowing.
The process generally takes approximately 30 minutes to capture most of this extra, very concentrated and fully medicated liquid off the original stewed mixture.
I’ve captured the progression of the draining of the concentrate, so that you can see what I see.
A fair bit of additional juice can be drawn off. To the tune of about a cup and a half (350 millilitres or 12 ounces). Which means that this little recipe will yield 12 drinks.
Holy Snap! 12 cocktails! I Never discard anything that has cannabis infused into it. Normally this extra liquid would be evaporated off or discarded in the stewing process.
- Measure out an ounce (or 30 ml) of concentrate and place in a cocktail shaker or vessel were the liquids can either be shaken or stirred to be thoroughly blended.
Whatever floats your boat...shake it, stir it, just get the liquids combined.
Add the sparkling water, mix it up and pour the contents into a chilled fancy glass of your choice.
Add the berry for garnish.
Think, sweet lemonade with strawberries and the tartness of rhubarb and that’s what this drink tastes like.
It reminds me of an elevated version of a Shirley Temple. (wink, wink).
I welcome your comments and I invite you to follow me on my journey, occasionally we will stop to wet our whistles. ;)
