RE: The Cannabis Conundrum - Breaking Laws To Grow Legally

in #cannabis7 years ago

I agree. I think when you take something like alcohol, you are able to measure the amount (volume) but also the percentage of alcohol in each type of drink. With cannabis it seems there is so much variation in the THC concentration in each strain that I think it's difficult for people to truly dose in a consistent way

Exactly. It is hard to measure THC & CBD content in cannabis without proper equipment, but that is already changing. There will be no need for labs because on-site testing is already being developed. I believe there will be much more information available to the consumer once it becomes a 'national' product for consumption.

For example, a google search shows a company marketing a handheld/portable device that measures potency and more. Portable Cannabis Potency and Chemical Analyzer

The good news is: science and technology are going to enhance our understanding of cannabis and outshine the propaganda that has been attached for decades.

That's encouraging to hear. I'm glad they are making strides to educate and create a safer experience for people. I appreciate that you are taking the time to become highly educated and to educate others on the subject
