California Chef Brings Cannabis To Fine Dining

in #cannabis8 years ago (edited)

California has a booming cannabis industry and the state is finally looking to legalize recreational use of cannabis this November with Proposition 64. California has a multi-million dollar cannabis industry that is flush with a wide variety of edible options and cannabis catering experiences that you can sign-up for.

And one chef is making it his goal to bring cannabis into California fine dining.

"To me this is a cerebral experience. Whether you are choosing to intoxicate yourself with wine and have a different perception; which is what alcohol does. And then cannabis is doing the same thing, you're eating with a different perception... - Chef Chris Savegh

Chef Savegh, also known as the 'herbal chef' says that you will never taste the cannabis in his cooking unless he wants you to taste it specifically when you taste the dish. Which might come as a benefit to many who say they don't like the taste of it and find regular edibles to be too strong tasting.

Chef Savegh stages pop-up banquets around Los Angeles and the cost for his meals can range between $20 to $200 depending on the menu that he is cooking.
