Their are thousands of varieties of cannabis, all with their own distinct appearance, taste, smell, and medical properties. I love exploring this immense world, and experience the different genetics from different growers, using different techniques, in different environments. The spectrum of aroma, and taste found in cannabis is vast indeed, and just when I thought I've experienced every flavor, explored every terpene profile conceivable, someone breeds something special that knocks me off my feet. With so many flavors to love, and so many growers, and breeders pushing the limits, it's hard for me to pick one strain as my "favorite". If I absolutely had to, if you put a gun to my head and told me to choose, it would have to be the infamous Gelato.

So obviously I was stoked when I saw we were bringing some cuts into the facility. This is our first round with her, and I'm excited, and nervous. So badly I want her to taste like the Gelato I first tried that stole my heart. Gelato is a member of the Cookie Family coming from Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie and the beautiful Sunset Sherbert, and she makes the family proud. A heavy hitting indica testing above 30% in a lot of cases, she is definitely a powerhouse when grown by an experienced farmer.

She grows short, and stocky like an indica, with rock hard popcorn nugs going up the branches, and not to many leaves. She starts producing resin super early, these photos are Week 8, I'm expecting her to be oozing by harvest in 2 more weeks. Like every other member of the cookie family, Gelato is known for its potent, dessert-like, terp profile. We only have a few Gelato plants in the room but she overpowers every other strain in there, with a tantalizing aroma reminding me of that sweet taste that's only a few weeks away.

I can't wait to see how this turns out, I will definitely share some photos of the finished Product when we're all done. I'm gonna order some seeds and give her a try at my home garden next month which I'll also keep you guys up to date with.
