Cancer Causing Foods
Cancer is a horrible disease that has touched the lives of almost every individual in some way. In 2016, a total of approximately 1,685,210 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States Alone while it is estimated that 595,690 people will die from the disease through the course of 2017. With shocking statistics reporting atrocious diagnosis and fatality rates it is becoming even more critical to take early action against any cancer that may be brewing. Even more important than treatment is prevention. Here are 11 cancer causing foods which you should do your best to avoid. Control your diet, control your risk!
Margarine
For a lengthy period of time margarine was toted at the healthy alternative to butter. It was advertised as being better on your hearty than butter and thus a better option. Margerine is created through a complex process from highly processed oils such as soy, rapeseed and corn. When oils are exposed to high temperatures the reaction causes a rise in free radicals. When oils are converted to margarines they of course inherit the free radicals. Organic, grass-fed butter gives you a range of nutrients and health benefits, just don’t overdo it!
Processed Meats
Deli meats, hot dogs and bacon are all highly carcinogenic while also containing dangerous levels of sodium and other foreign chemicals. The World Cancer Research Foundation recommends no more than 500 grams of red meat per week with the recommendation being to eat as little processed meat as possible. Processed meat includes ham! The carcinogenic effect of processed meat increases your risk of cancer dramatically, especially stomach cancer and colon cancer.
Microwave Popcorn
Microwave popcorn is a staple of many homes however what most people do not realize is that the coating within the bag is highly toxic. As the non-stick coating is broken down it releases a range of carcinogenic compounds including perfluorooctanoic acid. This is been directly linked to both prostate and liver cancer. Stick to air popped popcorn with little to no salt for the healthiest option.

Hey there, thanks for sharing, but I was curious if you had any references for your evidence. I'm sure you can appreciate that nutrition has been subject to mass-communication of unsupported claims that seems to have lead to higher cancer rates. Thanks in advance for crediting sources.
