There is no proof he killed anyone other than a confession that was forced under torture, that 15 year old boy, a Canadian citizen! was threatened with rape, kept awake for days, left in the heat, physically assulted. Do you think you would have survived it?.. oh, and all of this while recovering from serious injury.

Canada has the responsibility to protect its citizens, the Harper Conservatives (government at the time) did nothing, had they insisted he not be subject to torture they would have avoided this lawsuit, as it is? This money amount was decided on by the Supreme Court of Canada, not the government.

This boy lost his youth, it was spent in a horrible prison. The cause? an illegal war, a fool of a father and an irresponsible government.

Save your anger about wasted money for the big oil and mining companies that get subsidised and given millions in tax cuts in spite of making monstrous profits.
