Abolitionist Abstractions Vlog 30: Don't forget the water!
Here is the most recent vlog (still catching up from last week)! Murder Dog and i are still at the MPLFest. It's been a fun couple of days around here. Last night there was a wee bit of drinking and a late night trip to the sauna (man was that hot!). More people started arriving and I finally got a chance to meet some more of my longtime internet friends, including Luis Fernando Mises and Drew Sample. Murder Dog, as usual, as been of the campground favorites. She walks around like she owns the place and everyone is always happy to see her wander by. Well, almost everyone. When she wanders into Lou Feen's "Assault Kitchen", all bets are off. Outside of the cooking hours, though, even Lou gives Murder Dog all sorts of love.

It rains a lot out east, so keeping your tent dry for storing can be a problem for sure. Out west it might get a little morning dew but it drys up very quickly in the almost zero humidity. Yesterday it was so humid in Indiana that my body was dripping with sweat within minutes of leaving my car. I noticed the humidity is like gulf coast humidity in Kentucky and Indiana. Not a good place for van nomading for that reason. I'm heading back to Michigan right now to escape the heat after spending about a week in Kentucky. I stayed with my friend and a hotel for a couple of nights because the night air is unbearable until after midnight and so are the mosquitoes.
It's been pretty brutal in NY since I returned. Past two nights have been pretty damn warm and humid. I might be heading upstate soon if the heat doesn't break. A hotel is last resort for me because the cheapest pet friendly one in the area is $100 per night.
