Porto is a place, one can quickly fall in love with. It offers a beautiful scenery along the river Douro, charming narrow alleys, the landscape is enjoyable and the cuisine fits perfectly to the house wines the restaurants offer.

But the city has more to offer, besides the port wine it is famous for, see for yourself. So if you should visit the Steemfest, organized by @roelandp, make sure to arrange a few spare days and spend them in Porto.

Porto ist eine Stadt, in die man sich schnell verlieben. Die Stadt bietet eine den Fluss Douro hinauf eine wunderschöne Landschaft, charmante enge Gassen und die Küche des Landes passt hervorragend zu den Hausweinen der lokalen Restaurants.

Doch die Stadt hat mehr zu bieten, als den Portwein für den sie berühmt ist, doch seht selbst. Wer zum Steemfest reist der sollte sich die Zeit nehmen, auch Porto zu besuchen.

Hehe. Ich war noch nie in Portugal und freue mich sehr auf Lisabon.
Da war ich auch noch nicht. Ich habe nur die Hälfte des Landes vom Norden aus abgearbeitet. Aber es war mit die schönste Zeit auf meiner Europareise damals.

That is great. So you will have the whole Steemit gang over soon ;). No, I have only been to the north and down south solely as far as Coimbra.
You should visit it then, it's a LOT prettier than Porto (Just messing here, they're both gorgeous, but there's a huge rivality between the two cities, so I must defend my one at all cost :D )

I heard a lot about the rivalry between the two cities, so I really laughed out loud, when I read your lines. I liked all of the towns and cities I have been to in Portugal, so I am very convinced that Lisbon is great too :). Porto was very beautiful and Coimbra was a lot of fun.

Ohh, I didn't know that, completely missed that post... I am still trying to understand and learn about this platform... been here for 3 or 4 days only. I bet there's LOTS of details that I am still missing. Thanks for the heads up on that one!
